AI That Works, Episode 1: Getting Started with AI – How to Start Safely and Smartly

AI adoption is speeding up, and so are the risks. Shadow AI, unmanaged tools and compliance gaps can put a business at risk if adoption isn't handled with care. This is Episode 1 of BCN's AI That Works webinar series, which looks at how to adopt AI safely and in ways that genuinely improve productivity.

It covers five questions to ask before choosing any AI tool: what problem you're solving, where your data goes, how the tool fits what you already use, how stable the vendor is, and what it will cost to run. It also covers which four teams to involve from day one (IT and security, HR and end users, finance, and legal and compliance), how to deal with shadow AI by giving people a safe route, and how to start with one small, high-impact use case.

The session comes from a Microsoft partner and leans towards Copilot as the secure option, so expect some promotion of BCN's AI services. The other episodes in the series are also on the site.
